Is it time for another round robin? I reckon so especially with all the festive lights going up outside and the ‘holidays are coming’ jingle appearing on TV. Since update #17 I’ve been a pretty busy boy juggling new friends, new job and new ways of thinking. I moved jobs which was a scary decision but now am so relieved and happy I took the plunge. I’m working in a smaller agency that’s very content driven and I feel like I have a large, more prominent voice which is great. When some of that work comes out I’ll be sure to post it here but so far I’ve been on a lido shoot which was very calming in the winter sunshine. My last project at BBH was for Next and it was a real pleasure to do. A bunch of little, mundane moments that people nail whilst looking and feeling great. It was a week-long shoot and getting to eat free delicious catering on a double decker bus was a secret highlight. The social and TV for that went out straight away but I’ve recently been spotting the print in magazines and been stocking up to show the grandkids one day.
So I went to Italy again as you will have seen from my posts about Florence, Cinque Terre and Pisa. I’ve been in trip planning mode as I have three weeks off at the end of the year with quite a bit of running around. I’ll be flying to Toronto on Christmas Eve and spending a week or so there and then potentially checking out Montreal all over again. Then a few days into 2018 I’m flying down to Orlando for some theme park shenanigans before a quick layover in NYC before home. I am pretty pumped about the whole thing and really excited to get out there again. The last time I had to pack summer and winter clothes in one suitcase was a winter NY/Bahamas cruise that went swimmingly, fingers crossed for something similar! Then early in the new year I have a follow up week in Athens and Tel Aviv (flights were super cheap so I booked this several months ago) and then the real 2018 trip planning commences!
I have some new additions to my little flat family in the form of new plants. I’m fearful that my place is turning into a greenhouse and when I eventually decide to move it’s going to cause an extra effort in migrating them all safely. Christmas is round the corner and I am ahead of the game with my presents, decorations and the all important card. This year I went for risograph printing which has always been a dream of mine to try out. I collaborated with an awesome designer and we created a really fun but not too festive Christmas colour pattern of the twelve days carol. I’m now excited to just kick back, eat lots of food and be merry until 2018!
