Konichiwa! On this day we ventured a little out of Tokyo and went to DisneySea. They have two parks but Sea is the more original/unusual so figured it was worth a gander! It was three subway trains away (took about an hour) so we stocked up on breakfast baked goodies. Across the street from our hostel was this bakery and again it was a repeat of ‘guess what’s inside’. Most had various bean/jam concoctions which were all really delicious and such a reasonable price.
Now it was time for DisneySea and we took the special monorail to the park (see the handles are mickey mouse faces). This was the completion to my Disney checklist as I have now been to every Disney – California, Florida, Hong Kong, Paris and Tokyo (when Shanghai is built you bet I’m going). So speaking from experience, eh hem, this was the most hectic and populated one I have ever been to. Get there early, as we went on a Monday and people were flocking there in their thousands. The queues were crazy to get on rides, to get food and to even go to the toilet. Admittedly everyone is very polite and courtesy but just the waiting really kills the magic. Aside from that discouragement, it’s a really cool park and features multiple different areas and new attractions I had never encountered before. Japanese people love the cuteness, dressing up and so many girls were ‘twinning’ with their friends and wearing similar outfits. Lots had pimped out their bags with keychains and made sure to buy every single accessory and wear it haha. It’s much more of a fantastical/sweet experience, oppose to thrill seeker/adrenaline. Just remember use your fastpass and in the evening most people go home as they work, so rides are always easier to get on then!
If you want me to go into more specific detail on rides or experience let me know but I’m trying not to ramble too much here. The next day we headed to Kyoto via bullet train and things got very classical. I’ll leave you with this very stressed out panda on the metro doors. Feel free to follow the Adam Inflight instagram or join my mail list to be kept up to date and I’ll see you guys on Saturday!
