The next few days in Vegas we just wandered up and down the strip. I think we went in to around 90% of the casino’s and had a cheeky gamble and drink in each. Incase you don’t know, as long as you are sitting at a machine you are ‘eligible’ for free drinks. You just need to flag down a barstaff and order any drink you’d like and it’s complimentary. The hardest part is to find someone to order from but if you just tip generously they tend to come back pretty quick. There are dozens of casino’s so you just have to find one with an ambience/ decor you like. Some are cheaper to gamble in and are typically filled with younger crowds in their sweats and then you go to say the Bellagio and find people in suits betting thousands on the blackjack table.
New York New York was definitely one of my favourites to gamble in as I liked the openness of the whole casino area oppose to other casinos where it feels like a bunch of rooms put together. I guess I also felt kind of homesick for the big city? Which is weird as when I’m in NYC I’m trying as hard as I can to get out haha.
Shows wise we saw Elton John which was so good. He kept standing up after every song and bowing which was pretty weird but I guess he’s a Sir so he can do whatever the fuck he wants haha. We saw him in Caesar’s Palace which was a beautiful venue and also has an incredible mall area with a moving sky ceiling and fountains everywhere. There are tons of places to go shopping in Vegas so don’t feel like you have to go there. We also went to see Tournament of Kings which is just like Medieval Times apparently. The food was nice but very filling and the entertainment was pretty good. We were on the evil team so it was fun getting to be ghoulish and mean to all the ‘good’ actors. If everyone watching it is up for having a laugh and getting involved then I think it’s definitely worth it.
